Leafs give Stajan 2-year, $3.5M contract (AP) - 07-07-2008, 06:45 PM

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed restricted free agent forward Matt Stajan to a two-year, $3.5 million contract on Monday. The 24-year-old played in all 82 games last season. He scored a career-high 16 goals and added 17 assists and 47 penalty minutes. In 314 games with the Maple Leafs, Stajan has 56 goals and 71 assists.
