Red Sox option Bowden, recall Van Every (AP) - 08-31-2008, 07:55 PM

The Boston Red Sox optioned Michael Bowden to Triple-A Pawtucket one day after he won his major league debut and recalled outfielder Jonathan Van Every from their top farm club Sunday. Bowden gave up two runs and seven hits over five innings in Boston's 8-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.
