Giants LHP Sanchez scratched from start (AP) - 08-16-2008, 10:07 PM

Giants left-hander Jonathan Sanchez was scratched from his start against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday with a strained left shoulder. Matt Palmer was set to make his major league debut as San Francisco's fill-in starter. The right-hander was promoted from Triple-A Fresno on Thursday. Sanchez is 8-9 with a 4.53 ERA.
